I’ve been in your shoes.

When they handed me the keys to my first home, I thought I would burst with excitement. That feeling didn't last long. When the boxes came in, so did the reality: the perfect home I thought I was buying was full of problems waiting to be solved.

That's what started my DIY journey. Part design, part problem solving, and always learning something new. Since 2007, I've been taking on whatever my home needed: small kitchen updates and full rebuilds; hardwood floors I built, installed, and finished myself; a shower the size of a car wash turned into a bathroom with a soaking tub that actually feels like a retreat.

I've taken on whatever I needed to make my home work for my family. And I've loved every bit of it. I love figuring out what a room needs, but the part I live for is the building, watching a plan turn into something you can run your hand across.

The less-than-wonderful contractor experience? I know that one too. When we've hired out work, we've been left feeling stressed, frustrated, and wondering if we should have just done it ourselves. Waiting for calls that never came. Managing the chaos of kids, work, and a half-finished house while the contractor seemed completely unaware of the reality we were navigating.

I started Maven Made Home because I've heard that story too many times. From friends, neighbors, and family. I built it to be the contractor I wish we'd been able to hire. And I built it for the rooms that fall through the cracks. Too small for a big contractor to take seriously, too involved to keep ignoring. The room you've been living around. That's the work the I do.

Your home is where your life happens. We never forget that.

Almost every homeowner has a contractor story, and it's rarely a good one. Maven Made Home was built to be the exception. Better communication. A process that respects the fact that we're working in the place you come home to every day. A result you're genuinely proud of. And none of the stress of getting there.

That's not an extraordinary standard. It's just the one we hold ourselves to, on every project, with every client.

How working together actually goes.

These aren’t promises that sound good on a website. They’re how every project runs.
