The problem: An open, undefined space that bled into the rest of the house. No separation between work and home. No storage system that made sense. A room that functioned as a desk and a catch-all and nothing more.

The decisions: French doors closed the space off from the house — a single structural move that changed how the whole room felt. Color drench throughout: walls, trim, ceiling, all the same calm, medium tone that creates an immersive environment without feeling heavy — a backdrop that's quietly energizing rather than dramatic. Built-ins gave the storage a home. A standing desk built to fit the space rather than purchased to approximate it.

The result: A room that earns its place. Defined, functional, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time in.
